Create The ø Symbol In Word 2007

I often receive questions from Office users wanting to know how to add certain symbols in Word. A common request is with regards to adding a slashed zero. One method is to use the Symbol dialog box and find a font that includes the slashed zero. An even faster method is to use your keyboard.

Simply press CTRL + / followed by CTRL + O. The resulting symbol is a ø.

    It’s Control + / then Control + O (the letter O)

Doesn’t work for me because the second part, ctrl + o is the ”open” command for Word and without the ”ctrl” nothing happens…

Why won’t ctrl – alt – l do the trick?
