Who would have thought that Microsoft Word would come under attack like this? It’s insane, I tell you, considering how important a product Word is for Microsoft! But here we have it, right there in the text. Word is to not be sold as of January 11th, 2010.

Microsoft has promised a “fix” to the issue, although I am not at all convinced that this is going to happen by the assigned date needed. It’s a nice thought, but let’s be honest here — Microsoft is not known for fast or speedy anything.

Honestly I don’t think this issue will affect most businesses as you can always use what is already out there in the marketplace. The obvious issue will be trying to buy new copies of Word when this ban goes into effect. Clearly, there are going to be a number of individuals here who are not going to take kindly to this.
