New Computers Don’t Have To Cost A Fortune
With the economy being all over the map, a lot of us are really being a bit more careful with our funds these days. This article demonstrates that even with a tight economy, it is still possible to get your hands on everything you need to put together a fantastic computer.
The first PC on the list is coming in at a cool $690. For what you are getting, this seems pretty darn reasonable. The motherboard is a MSI, CPU rocking a strong AMD with decent ATI video card. Everything considered, I was impressed. And I was also happy to see that they managed to find a PSU that was not a total piece, either. Getting a decent one can be tricking without putting down some serious coin if you don’t know where to look.
Where the article kind of lost me was when they started diving into the $3,000+ range. Yes, these are indeed dream machines. But with the exception of the most extreme gamers, they are also totally overkill.
At the end of the day, I would have found the piece to be of more timely value had they stuck to the recession theme. Because honestly, I am just not convinced most people, even the readers of MPC… are honestly in the market for a $3,000 PC.
