8-bit Computing Never Looked This Good

Normally the prospect of staring at a bundle of wires is not something that gets me too excited. Yet on the flip side, I was a big fan of those old Radio Shack crystal radio kits that allowed you to take practically nothing and “invent” your very own AM radio with relative ease.
Then you have projects such as this one, which in the literal sense, are not something that is going to be powering anything anytime soon. But mark my words kids, this bast from the past does indeed work as advertised!
For me personally, it serves as a reminder of why I got into computing in the first place. It’s not about operating systems and software politics. It’s the magic of building something from practically nothing, flicking a switch and watching with amazement when all of your hard work turns out to be a success.
To the creator of the BMOW Project. Well done, well done indeed.

Here here! I agree with you completely. I much rather dig into the guts of the computer, putting parts together and making it work.
