E-Mail:

I Want An Android Without The Contract

Yes, the title is a little unusual. But I did it this way to make a very abrupt point. I am interested in owning my own Google Android devices, however, I do not intend on doing so while sacrificing myself to yet another mobile contract. Fact of the matter is I am relatively okay with who I use for my mobile services right now, so switching just to own a phone does not work for me.

This said, there is a a lot of speculation that we’ll be soon be seeing Android on netbooks within the year. At first, I was largely unimpressed. With time however, I have found my own perspective shifting a bit. The idea of being able to enjoy the Android experience and going with T-Mobile is clearly through one of these up and coming netbook computers.

Am I sorry that I cannot have it on something a bit more portable? Not really, as anyone who has ever tried a netbook knows, these little machines are pretty darned small. Besides, by the time this happens, we might see more Android mobile options with more of the mobile carriers out there already. Some say it will never happen, yet I am seeing evidence of this coming along sooner than most might suspect.
