BlackBerry Blunders

Really ticked off regarding my BlackBerry’s sudden desire to prevent any calendar alerts from visually appearing any longer. I can see how many appear to have been missed when I lock the phone, as I am not presented with the visual option to simply snooze or dismiss them.

I have to tell you, I am totally stumped on this one. I have tried everything from adding/removing past appointments to resetting the BlackBerry via a battery pull. Nothing is helping. And no, this happened over the course of the past week, so it has had nothing to do with the new year or anything like that. Do not own a Zune, so I am safe from any firmware weirdness there.

It would be helpful to point out that I do connect to a BES, but do not use Outlook or Windows to add or change any apointments. I do use the OWA browser option though. If any of you BlackBerry gurus know what might be causing this, I would sure appreciate some help to fix this. Oh, and Happy New Year!

Its gotta be something in your profile on the BB. Click the icon for profiles and scroll down to “Advanced…” Select your profile and use the menu button to select “Edit”. check in there.

On your BB delete all the Desktop Service books. This is done via options, Advanced options, service book, Delete anything that starts with desktop. Now on your BES go to the manager and resend the service books. This might prompt you to do a activation once again. Once the service books have come back on the BB. You can see them come back while in the service book option. All completed pull the battery. Your meeting should start reminding you once again. You also might need to regenerate the encryption key. This is done by going into options, security options, scroll to the bottom and click the menu key. you will get the option to generate a new encryption key. If all else fail wipe the BB and reactivate via the BES server. Generally I find a corrupted service book is the culprit.

This is happened to all my 7290’s (I have about 4 in the office), and we are also not getting alerts.. Seems to be some bugs.. What BB you have ?
