iPhone Is Looking Old? Not So Fast…

Over and over I keep hearing about how great the T-Mobile release of Google’s Android is going to be or how now the Nokia 5800 is going to change the way we currently look at the iPhone. Look, I am hardly an Apple fan. And I am even a heated critic of my own preferred operating system. But to read other articles exclaiming how some knock-off is going to overthrow the iPhone despite the fact that its designers worked really hard to ensure that it looks and feels just like the iPhone, seems immensely stupid to me.
The iPhone was ground breaking in the way the Apple provided an entirely new way to look at the phone as well knew it. Smarter voicemail, a touch interface that did not fail like I found with nearly every Windows Mobile device that ended up needing to be reconfigured over and over. The “app store”, the ability to capture its users with something unlike anyone has ever seen or used before. No, I am sorry. Despite the Android potentially taking things to the next level to some degree or the Nokia 5800 bring in another non-iPhone alternative, none of these things are all that exciting.
Want to excite me? Let’s see more work being done to provide better technology than the tired old Cell tower or satellite.
