Does The Mac Pro Cause Health Issues?

When I first came across this piece, I have to admit that I ended up reading it twice. Could this be a fluke with a specific batch of bad parts? Well, it certainly does not appear to be that simple. Unfortunately, it seems as if Mac Pro owners need to rethink their choice of product if there is a chance that their once loved Mac could potentially be spewing out deadly fumes.
To be ultimately fair, until I hear a response from a confirming source, the article above is just a statement. Thus far it lacks the proof I need to better form an opinion on whether or not the Mac Pro is a collective threat to all who own one.
At this point, I think the best thing a Mac Pro owner can do is have their existing hardware tested. If it turns out to be fine, then no worries.

Most new computers, for that matter most new electronics that I’ve owned, have had a ‘new component’ smell that dissipates rapidly.
What takes away from the French’s credibility is the fact that the French government has been butting heads with Apple over DRM since 2006. What better way to attempt to ‘hurt’ Apple than to try to steer sales away from a product with the highest per-unit price?
The French government is also the same government who insists on having copies of the encryption keys used by all business entities within its borders. Can you say sanctioned, ‘legal’ business espionage?
You’re right to withhold judgment. I smell ‘agenda.’

Where do we get the computers tested? Certainly we don’t want to go to the “Genius Bar.”
Why after all this time do we have to hear that Mac Pro may have potentially deadly fumes? If in fact this is the case, will buyers be fully reimbursed for the computers bought? Will Apple pay for health care of individuals and pets with illnesses associated with these deadly fumes? Talk about a class action lawsuit. This would be huge.
Again, if true, Apple, should do an immediate recall of Mac Pro. From there, give us all new computers. Hopefully, the problem will of been resolved by this point, and, the end users of Mac Pro new computers won’t be jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

I believe that all new computers have problems. I have an iBook G4 and when I first got it there was a recall on the batter. They said that it would explode but I am still using the computer and nothing had happened.
