Erin Welker Partitions Our Data

Richard and I talk to Erin Welker about Data Partitioning in SQL Server 2005 and 2008. Erin digs into the advantages of partitioning for OLTP and OLAP, as well as the changes between 2005 and 2008. Check out Erin’s blog here.

Erin has spent 25 years in Information Technology development, management, database administration and business intelligence. She began working with SQL Server in version 1.11; Analysis Services, SSIS, DTS, and Reporting Services since their inception. She was privileged to be a member of the Project REAL team, and has written whitepapers on data warehousing in SQL Server 2005. Her current focus is PerformancePoint Planning.
