Can’t honestly say that news of iPhone malware is all too shocking. However like finding malware on any mobile device, knowing that it is fundamentally changing something that we just do not consider to be a target for the most part, is quite disheartening.

Officially, this threat is said to be more prank than problem. Yet I cannot shake the feeling that this is to the first in a long line of future issues yet to surface. So this begs the question - will Apple finally find themselves actively marketing malware protection for the mobile devices? Perhaps going even deeper, using their marketing magic to refer to whatever offering they might potentially end up selling as something catchy like iSafe or iMal? Never say never, who ever thought we would see malware popping up on on Apple products AND receiving press?
