Verizon Is Flaming Serious About Service!

  • No Related Post

In all seriousness, I feel terrible about the fire that the residents of the complex in question had to endure. My heart goes out to them as no one deserves to live with such an event. That said, perhaps there is something up with Verizon and its installation practices?

Verizon, on the other hand, has made its perspective very clear in stating that it was an electrical fire started by one of its employees accidentally drilling into an electrical wire. All right, I can understand that accidents happen. And it’s good that Verizon stood up straight to take its medicine in both the press and in paying for the damages.

So I guess the moral of this story is twofold. One, it was an oops moment, not faulty hardware. And second, Verizon backs up its mistakes. Can we say the same for other ISPs? I tend to doubt it.

recently (last week?) a Comcast tesh puctured a gasline and set a house on fire, a total loss… I wonder how often this happens, and does not get reported in the press…
