Outlook Obnoxiousness
Today, Peter writes:
Hi, Matt. Have tried converting my workplace across to Ubuntu “OO environment” but dismally failed (practically lynched by the users). My last hurdle now is to get my boss’ Evolution mail (6000+) back into Outlook. Have Googled my heart out and all roads lead to naught. It does not matter what intermediate steps I use (i.e. Eudora, Thunderbird), the Mbox format just wont go across. In my Googling I discovered a company that charges $149.00 for the export function but I cannot find them again. Any ideas?
Sounds like you already have everything on the Windows platform and have access to the actual Mbox file itself. But the problem remains – how to get it back into Outlook, with its PST nonsense? Well, with closed source comes cost. Fortunately, you can do it very cheaply. Fifty dollars later, you have access to a piece of software that can export or import just about anything. With this in mind, enter the wonderful world of Aid4Mail. Try it, you’ll love it.
Do you have an IT-related question? Perhaps you are just burnt out on writing on the walls with crayons? Whatever the comments may be, drop me a line and you, too, can “Just Ask Matt!”
