Backing Up Those Partitions!

Data backup, who are you going to trust for this? Well, the short answer has a lot to do which OS you happen to be running. Those of you using Windows for instance, you simply cannot go wrong with a copy of True Image from Acronis. Simple to use, understand and recover with, I highly recommend this for the XP crowd in the readership out there.
For those of you in the Mac world, I have heard that Data Backup from Prosoft can’t be beat. Great reviews, I would be interested in hearing real-world experiences with this particular product.
And finally, we have PartImage for Linux. You will want to download, burn this ISO and then boot from it. Once you are ready, type partimage and then follow these instructions (use Ctrl F to locate the text sudo fdisk after booting the System Rescue CD) and these instructions for the everything else. If you run into trouble, comment above and I will toss together a tutorial for you.
So, do you have another option that you feel is worth a mention? Then by all means, comment above and tell me about it.

On Backing up those Partitions….Another very easy to use partition imaging software is R-Drive Image….Simple and easy to use….Also,Paragon Exact Image is a good one,but the restore operation can get a little confusing…The interface is hard to understand…..Thanks

David, at this point I guess you might say that it is on hiatus. The potential for it coming back will be up to someone that is interested in investing some spare time to contribute to it. At this point, this is simply not an option for me personally. At least not at a level that would make it continuous that is.
Thanks.
