Is This Site Really Age Appropriate?

(For those asking about the Ubuntu tutes, they’re returning on Tuesday.)
So today I stumbled upon a portal known as Eons. At its heart, it is supposed to be a portal for users 50 and older. After providing personal details that would mimic of those in the site’s target age group, I took a moment to look around a bit.
Overall, I wasn’t too impressed. I was not seeing anything that seemed to be gaging interests dissimilar to my own. Note that I am wording it this way as I am certainly not qualified to judge what someone in their 50’s(+) is looking for in a Web portal.
So what do you think? Am I being totally unfair here? Perhaps my youth has me looking at this site through jaded eyes? Email me, let’s talk about it.
