Hope For The Censored?

It’s a brilliant idea. Software that would essentially empower people in places like China or other restrictive countries to access content that might otherwise be seen as objectionable by the powers that be.
Those of us living in countries where censorship is not an issue tend to take this for granted. We are fortunate to have the freedom to browse and search for Web sites that we decide that we would like to see. If this software is indeed successful, it could be a major victory for freedom of speech advocates everywhere.
So I suppose the real question will have to be whether or not the countries that choose to censor their citizens will end up catching on to this endeavor.
Guess only time will tell.

If you think that censorship isn’t an issue in THIS country, then you’re not hooked up to the EFF www.eff.org). Censorship is alive and doing well right here in the USA. If we take even one day off from fighting it, we could lose the war.
