New Aussie Law - The Saga Continues

One of the best parts of writing for Lockergnome has to be the global reach we have. Take the response on the pending (potential) changes to Australian copyright law. The readers spoke and I can only hope that the lawmakers in their country are truly listening. My understanding is that the action being proposed could quite effectively shut down Internet usage for the Aussies altogether. Let me tell you something, I think this stinks!

Those of us living in North America (US and Canada) should be paying close attention. If this Aussie law is to pass, it could quite possibly get lawmakers in our own governments thinking in a similar manner should certain intellectual rights holders get the wild hair to pursue this.

In the end, only time will tell how this will end up turning out. But I would watch the comments for this post. I have a feeling that those who could be affected by this irresponsible law have a few more things that they might like to share with the rest of the world.
