Corsair Expands Flash Memory Line With New 2GB microSD Removable Card

Aimed at the growing ultra-compact MP3 mobile phone market, the new microSD products meet the demand for high density storage and small footprint design.

Corsair, a worldwide leader in high performance enthusiast computer products, today launched a new line of microSD removable flash memory cards to further expand the company’s award-winning line of flash products. Available immediately in capacities up to 2GB - the largest capacity available in the world’s smallest flash memory card - the high capacity is essential to users who store music, pictures, watch video, and use downloadable ring tones and address books. The 2GB Corsair microSD cards will hold up to 500 MP3 songs or approximately 4000 2megapixel photos.

“The digital convergence is here. Consumers are demanding mobile phones with built in MP3 functionality. The microSD form factor is the ideal storage solution as mobile devices continue to shrink in size and increase in features,” said Richard Hashim, Director of Product Marketing at Corsair Memory. “With the need to store more portable data on the go, it is essential to have a large capacity storage device to house all the information. We expect to see significant demand for the Corsair microSD products.”

Based on the latest flash memory technology, each microSD card measures one-forth the size of a standard Secure Digital (SD) card. Available in 512MB, 1GB and 2GB capacities, the microSD cards are designed for the latest generation of mobile phones and devices that take advantage of the card’s high performance and expanded storage.

Each microSD card is bundled with a standard SD adaptor to add usage flexibility. With the SD adaptor, each microSD card can be used as a full-sized SD card utilized in a variety of camera and cell phones.

The Corsair website you link to says 2200 2 MP photos.

I decided to get a corsair 2GB microSD card for my Samsung T629, formatted it to my phone, plugged it back into the computer, filled it to the brim with music files, but when I put it into my phone and loaded it up, it would only regonize about a GB worth of actually music files on the memory card. The folders the mp3 files were in were still there but the folders would list 0 files inside and if you tried to open them the phone would pop up a message: “acsess failed please reinsert the memory card.” Some of the files work perfectly, the mp3 files within the first GB in the order I put them on the memory card. I know it’s the phone, something with the firmware maybe? But is there a way to trick my phone into accessing my entire 2 GB? Any help would be greatly appreshiated! :-)

>_> I got the same problem Cept My phone I Samsung SGH-D807 and It Says access failed please reinsert the memory card And mine
wont even lemme listen to any songs

I bought a samsung t629 and a 1 GB kingston micro SD card. I have loaded one 15 sec mp3 song onto the micro SD card, but cannot access it from my phone. The memory card option in the menu is grey (meaning does not function). Any suggestions on how to make this work?

Hey guys Me again I’m STILL Having the same Problem Really Ticking me OFF Anyone Found a Solution?

Hi Eman. I’m having a similar problem with my 1GB microSD card in my Samsun SGH-d807. I have plenty of music on mine that I can listen to just fine, but somehow 19 random folders added themselves onto my card and now I can’t get them off. Each one has a really werid name for it too such as aPbPcPdP.ePf. I have no idea where these folders came from, but it sure would be great to delete em. When I try to delete them on the phone, it just says failed or sometimes I’ll get the “Access failed please reinsert the memory card” message. So I tried deleting it on my computer and I got a message that says “Cannot delete file: Cannot read from source file or disk.” If anyone has a solution…please let me know. Thanks.
