Cingular Rocks!

It never ceases to amaze, Cingular has once again impressed me by correcting what I would consider no minor issue.

For me, it all started yesterday when I went to check my bill online, only to discover it was charging me for more than I had signed up for. In true Hartley fashion, I came away pretty upset. So then today, I figured calling the company ought to get the problem resolved fairly quickly. Sure enough, I was greeted with a representative that was happy to help me get this resolved. I’m telling you, it is the only cell service company that I have dealt with that does not make excuses or lay blame when it messes up on my account.

So anyway, things were grooving right along and then out of nowhere, my phone dropped the call! Perfect, so I went ahead and called back figuring that I would need to do a lot of explaining as to what was happening with my bill, but as it turned out, I had to explain very little. Very nice to see this level of service, let me tell you!

For me, there is really no question which mobile company best fits my needs. When you combine the no nonsense approach to resolving my issues with the rollover minutes it offers, then tie it all together with the signal coverage it offers here in my area, the choice is obvious. I have friends that swear by Verizon. But I have to wonder about all of the unused minutes that they are subscribing to only to lose them later on. To me, I just can’t see the logic there.

    I agree totaly that Cingular is the way to go fo cell phone service. I have been with Cingular before when they were called Cell One and I have had very very little trouble with my service, the only problems I have had they fix or clear them up very quickly. There phone reps are very frendly. I have no trouble in recommending them to other people. In my opinion Cingular is the best choice for Cell Phone Service.

      The problem with rollover minutes is that you’re paying for more minutes than you need and the only way you’ll ever use them is if you reduce your plan or consciously use it more to use up the rollover.

      It’s a marketing gimic, just like Verizon’s In-Calling. But at least with in-calling it is an immediately experienced benefit. Plus, at least in my area and most areas I’ve travelled to in the US, Verizon coverage can’t be beat!

    I don’t know what Cingular has done recently with there customer service and billing but my experience with them a year and a half back resulted in my having to contact the state Attorney General’s office to get charges removed from the bloodhound collection agency they turned my account over to after disputing my first monthy bill and being forced to return the 4 phones I had on my plan. They setup 3 phones on one plan and another on it’s own when thay all were to be on the same plan. Their CS was usless in getting this corrected. After returning all 4 phones in the same shipping box I was informed I only returned 3 and would be charged for the 4th (yeah the one that was on it’s own plan). The entire experience resulted in me informing anyone I could to go with any other service but their’s. They also had my first bill wrong in addition to having 2 seperate plans and could never get it straightened out. I would never consider taking my business to them ever again. Thanks to the state AG office I was able to get the credit issue resolved but it did taked months and caused a lot of unneeded work on my part.

    I agree with Upset w/Cingular. We’ve had so many problems with our billing we are actively going to other networks. We’ve also had the multiple bills problems. We’ve also opened 1 new account and had Cingular assign 3 numbers and accounts under the same name and expect up to pay (even though they had no records of the other 2 lines being ordered.)

    Thanks for the AG tip – I’m going te give his office a call.
