Bye PowerBook, Hello Dell Laptop

I need to use a Dell laptop at work, and this has everything to do with the fact that I need to run “Windows only” applications. Yes, I know you can use parallels and Boot Camp, but we are not ready for the Intel Macs.

So, I’m stuck with Windows for the next couple of years. To be honest, this laptop rocks and works extremely well. But then again I need some major adjustment time. The usability is “different” but not that bad; the design is nice but not jaw-dropping. The battery life is pretty much the same as my ex-PowerBook. The processor is a “Centrino Duo” so it’s very fast.

So, at the end of the day I can conclude that this is a good machine, but it isn’t a Mac (only Apple fans know what I mean by that). You don’t hear me complain, although I miss my Mac from time to time!
