On10 and Spot-on!

I am impressed. Finally, I was able to find a Microsoft presentation of Vista that really explained why I would bother to upgrade. Thanks to an employee of the Microsoft Corp. featured on “On10.net“, I am now in the know as to what Vista will do for me and just as importantly, anyone I know who might want to take a shot at the OS.
Even though Apple has had 99% of the features of the new OS for a couple of years now, I did manage to spot a couple of tidbits that I believe are exclusive to Vista users. Not too shabby.
One of the things that I enjoyed the most was real world explanation of features offered vs the tired old bullet points boasting how it does this and that. Good job folks, Microsoft should be commended for taking on “Foy” and “Wood” in this venture. While the format may not be for everyone, I have watched a few episodes and I have to say, they are beginning to show some real promise.
If you have not checked it out, you ought to. To me, it is a fabulous marriage for demonstrating Windows in the real world, while maintaining a kick back feel during the show itself. Keep in mind that this show works hard to remain interesting, so I don’t think you will feel like you are watching a comcercial or anything like that. Hmmm, with a project this successful, I almost suspect that Robert Scoble might be behind this someplace. Man, is there anything that guy can’t do?
Good stuff. See you Monday!
