What do you get when you mix the voice behind one of the most popular commercials in years, National Lampoon and a geek working on bringing their most recent project together in the best format possible for Internet viewing? Don’t know yet. But I’ll let you know once I able to get the audio and video in place.

Recently the talent behind the Emmy winning commercial linked above contacted me to see what kind of Internet magic could be done with an event known simply as ‘The Chat Room”.

No details are ready yet nor do I have the actual Web links, either. I realize that by now you must be thinking that I am slacking on the job. In actuality, I was called into this project with like two days to coordinate a sound crew (thanks Matt S. for saving my bacon) and to figure out what Melinda and NL had in mind.

Now even though the details are going to be pretty thin here, I can tell you that the project involves a collection of comedians performing at the M-Bar in Hollywood. It should be really fun as the participants in the ’show’ are made up of both known and unknown comedians. I am really looking forward to getting this project put together and with any luck, have it turn into something ongoing. I’ll post more details as they become available.
