DRR [Deficit Round Robin] is a new method of FQ [Fair Queuing] designed for fair treatment of connections where traffic may be of large and unpredictable byte sizes. The concept is to establish a Quantum (quantity) byte size and each connection empties the Quantum bucket amount during a time period called a Round. At the end of each Round, if there are any bytes remaining in DC [Deficit Counter], the amount of bytes is carried over to the next Round.
