A New Pandora's Box?

If you are anything like me, sometimes you just need to find a good tune to get you going with your day. Up until recently, discovering new bands that I like has been a major pain to put it mildly.

Then I found this service called Pandora. For those of you that are not familiar with it, I guess I would have to describe it as the ultimate music discovery tool. Simply type in the title of a song or the name of a band that you enjoy and presto! Instant music station, tailored to your listening needs.

Pandora has been a blast to play with and for a reasonable fee, I can also use its service without the need for ads. It is also important to understand that if it was not for the Music Genome Project, there very well may not have been a Pandora for me to write about today. Folks, this is a really cool project and quite frankly, even more fun to use. I have already discovered and rediscovered a number of bands. For the first time in years, learning about new music that matches my tastes is obtainable.

And of course, there are those of you that are feed-freaks. You know who you are. “Do they have a blog? Do they have a RSS feed?” Well the answer is yes to both.

Definitely worth checking out and even more fun to create “personal radio stations” with. The name is Pandora and for the time in a long time, a project other than one of my own has my undivided attention.
