Since we are coming up on the weekend, I thought it might be fun to take a gander at the stranger side of the Web. What am I going on about? Why, those folks that bring us some of the best in the world of Star Trek parodies, of course!

Yes, I have been known to call some of these fan films a guilty pleasure of mine, care to guess which ones? Seriously though, we really should admire the time and energy being put into these films. Short as they may be, don’t kid yourself into thinking that any of us could do much better. And yes, I was referring to the acting, in case you were wondering.

I mean come on, people do this for the fun of it. Goodness knows there is certainly no profit in it, right? So I say each of us ought to salute the following ‘programs’ (not literally, sit down) as they have certainly worked hard to entertain myself and their other fans over the past couple of years. The shows are as follows:

• Starship Exeter
• Hidden Frontier
• Star Trek New Voyages
• USS Intrepid
• And for those of you that dislike Star Trek - Star Wrek
