PHIZ Biz Makeover Contest $25,000 Prize For Best Consumer Product.

New York, NY, JANUARY, 2006; Entrepreneurs striving to get their products on the shelves of America’s top retailers may have an opportunity to shorten their journey from factory to consumer. PHIZ, a consumer product marketing and sales management company, is offering a $25,000 business services package and an opportunity to sit down with a major retailer via its PHIZ BIZ Makeover Contest.

The professionals at PHIZ will prepare the winning company for entry into the very competitive, confusing, and dangerous world of major “American Retail” The prize is designed to showcase the necessary steps needed to complete prior to approaching retail channels. It will include everything from a pricing/program matrix to a store detailing solution.

“Wal-Mart, Target, The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ingram Micro, Tech Data: these, and others are the holy grail of most entrepreneurs,” said PHIZ President John McDougall. “We’ve seen companies not properly prepared, quickly find themselves well into the red before they even receive their first payment.” McDougall added, “This contest is an excellent opportunity to assist business entrepreneurs who have limited resources, strengthen their market entry position with a comprehensive program supporting their product and the buyer’s slotting requirements.”

The Process: PHIZ has assembled a panel of experts for judging that includes participants from Wired Magazine, SHOP, Etc., Ziff Davis - Digital Life, Tower Media, and Gordon and Glickson. Product entries will be scored on their branding, package design, pricing, competitive positioning, sales materials, and fit with current market trends.

The Winner

The winner for the Biz Makeover will receive PHIZ Sales and Marketing Blueprint that includes:
