Look, I realize that a lot of you out there are the sort that prefer to keep your options open with respect to your Web browser usage. Maybe there are just days where you would rather use IE and then other times when Firefox would be more to your fancy? Whatever the reason for wanting to switch back and forth, I totally understand!
Where there is a will, there is an extension…
Wouldn’t it be great if we could have IE and Firefox built into the same browser? What would you say if I told you that you can! Yup, I am going to show you how some cleverly designed Firefox extensions can in fact, bridge the gap between browsers…
FirefoxView- If you are a Web designer, there have most certainly been times when you were working on a page within IE and really needed to be able to see what it looked like in a Firefox environment. With FirefoxView installed, all you’d have to do is right click and then choose to view in Firefox! It’s just that easy!
IE Tab- This is perhaps, one of my all time favorite IE add-ons. How many times have you been surfing along from within Firefox, only to discover that you need to have access to IE abilities in order to watch some MSN-based content? Well, with the IE Tab, this is simply no longer a problem. With this extension, you can quite literally have IE tabbed within your Firefox browser!
FavoriteSync - Ah yes, the ‘where did I bookmark that ___’ syndrome that I find myself confronted with is quite frankly ANNOYING. Well, ever since I started using FavoriteSync, I found that I am no longer being vexed with this problem. This great extension works to keep both my Favorites and Bookmarks in sync with each other.
Alright, all of this is fine and good. But if you are anything like me you must be wondering what the critics think of these extensions, right? Well, Frank here appears to be pretty pumped about the features they are offering for his productivity. How about you? What have your experiences been like with these offerings? Better still, how about some funny videos expressing your shock and amazement while using Firefox? I suspect that we might be able to get a contest going if there is enough interest. I’ll have to keep you posted on that one…
