Let’s face it. If you are someone who works with technology in the home, then it pays to be up on all the latest ’stuff’ coming out in the home entertainment market. Now speaking for myself, home entertainment setup is not something that generally fools with in regards to my clients - it’s just not my style. But if this is an area that you have found yourself working with from time to time, then perhaps you had better read on…
Today, I came across a piece of home entertainment glamor known as the Olive music center. The appliances themselves actually come in a number of musical flavors depending on what the user is looking for, but what caught my eye the most is that to me, this just reinforce the death of CD music.
We should note that devices such as the Olive collection are not totally brand new. But what might be considered a little ‘different’ is the abilities that this line can offer: For instance, you can not only order their home entertainment packages pre-loaded with music of your choice, butyou can also rip CDs and will even load music onto your MP3 player while using their appliance. Knowing this, I see hope that the home music world is in fact keeping pace with the advancements of PVRs and digital TV. Besides, you know that at some point one of your clients will likely call you asking for an opinion on devices like those from Olive. And while they may be of a different brand, I suspect that the concept and even much of the technology will be very similar.
