SpamAssassin has released version 3.1.0 of their fine spam filter product, and it includes support for the Institute for Spam and Internet Public Policy’s wonderful Email Senders Accreditation Program!

This means that SpamAssassin will check to see whether a sender is listed with ISIPP’s Email Sender Accreditation program when deciding whether a piece of email is spam or not!

According to ISIPP, their Email Senders Accreditation Program “gives the receivers (ISPs and spam filters, such as SpamAssassin) what they really want to know. Rather than telling ISPs and spam filters that they should accept your email because we say so, we actually give the e-mail receiver all of the good information about your mailing practices, each and every time they check with us before processing your e-mail.
