I have been in the IT industry for over seven years now and I have always managed to stay up to date on new technologies including tech toys. Almost a year ago I lost my job and since then I have been trying to find work in my designated field (computer programming). The market is harsh right now, but I try and keep my head up and try each day to land that elusive job. I have always found that music has been the ultimate way to keep myself upbeat. It seems to calm me and give me a general lift in spirits. I thought since music seems to keep me calm I would go out and get an MP3 player. Great idea, until I saw the prices. I can’t afford to even get a 128 meg player! It is unbelievable. I just wanted something to put on a couple of CDs’ worth of music.

They are between 80 - 125 bucks here in Canada. For that kind of money I could pay a couple of bills for the month. Why haven’t the prices dropped on these products? I don’t ask for much in life, but when I do want something, it is too expensive. Go figure!
