Pimp My PC

I’m sure a lot of you have seen the MTV television show called Pimp My Ride.
They take beaten up vehicles and transform them into something beyond the
owners’ wildest dreams. This got me to thinking: Why couldn’t this be done
for computers? Not only would it provide great advertising for a computer
company but it would also help those who need an update but just can’t
afford it. I, myself, have often dreamed about owning a tricked-out PC, but,
like many others, just can’t afford to drop the coin on doing so.
Picture this. It is a bright, sunny day, and average Joe Blow wakes up wiping
the sleep from his eyes. The doorbell rings and he quickly throws on some
clothes and runs to the door. When he opens it, he finds a camera crew
and host telling him that his computer is about to be pimped. The crew and
the host race into the room where the old computer is kept and makes some
funny comments on the condition of his PC. After some tongue in cheek
technobabble, the host then unhooks the PC and leaves. Joe Blow is shocked
and wonders what wonderful things will be done to it. A few days later,
Joe Blow gets a call telling him to meet the host at a given location where
his new computer will be revealed to him. Joe Blow arrives and is guided
into a room where the individuals that helped pimp his PC are waiting. The
anticipation is thick in the room as the cover is removed from his new PC.
Joe screams as it shines in the camera lights filled with all the
toys he could never afford. After a run through of the new PC by the host, he
pulls Joe Blow aside and says into the camera, “Your PC has officially been
pimped.”
It seems like a good dream, does it not? Just thinking of it makes me drool.
I guess for now, though, it will have to remain a dream.

It’s funny, I just randomly did a Google search for “Pimp my PC” with the same idea as the poster of this and found this page.
For many PC owners, though, they’d just be better off getting a new one rather than getting it tricked out. XD
