Well, folks, I think that Linuxfest Northwest (LFN) 2005 went rather well. The LFN team this year worked really hard to make this event happen, so I think I am going to take a moment to shine the spotlight on some of the planning committee. Everyone here on this page worked really hard to make sure that the festival went off without a hitch. I’d also like to give a huge shoutout to the others who may not be listed here. Your hard work is really appreciated, guys!
The presentations were all really well done and I came away feeling like the day was definitely well spent. Speaking for myself, the presentation that really struck home for me was brough to us by Chris DiBona of Google. DiBona is a great guy to begin with, perhaps even being seen as a bit of a free spirit. He made sure that all who attended the Google presentation had a good time and was most certainly a real blast to watch in action.
Since a large number of you were not able to attend Linuxfest this year, I have a little surprise with each of you in mind. Myself and a few other members of the Linuxfest Northwest staff have put together some video footage of select presentations for your viewing pleasure. While we are still editing much of the video footage, the Google presentation video is uploaded and ready to be downloaded.
Understand that this is Creative Commons video. So if you are so inclined, please take it upon yourself to upload it to your own servers and share it till your hearts’ content! While I am still working on finding a permanent home for much of this content, I am happy to share the Google footage with you so long as my server’s bandwidth remains intact. Thanks for all of the support!
Let’s get digital!
