Logitech Z-3 Speakers Review

I received this set of speakers on Easter last year as a gift from my father. Setting these up was a breeze; I just took everything out of the box, removed the protective wrapping, removed the twist tie from the wires, plugged everything in, and I was ready to go. The subwoofer on this model has the control knob on the back, which in a way is convenient but in other ways is not (because other Logitech speaker models have the subwoofer control knob on the control pad where the volume control is). These speakers are 40 watts, but can pump out 80 watts at peak. They sound awesome - very good sound quality.
When placed in a small room, the subwoofer does not need to be turned up much to feel a lot of bass. So if you are in a small room and you want to feel chair vibrating, banging bass, then turn the subwoofer up all the way.
In a larger room, these speakers sound a bit better. Most likely due to the way sound travels.
These speakers feature detachable faceplates (so you can also have a brushed metal look on them if you wish), a subwoofer in a wooden enclosure, and more. The wooden enclosure style on both the subwoofer and the speakers makes it match almost any wooden desk, complementing its surroundings.
For $100 Canadian, these are a good buy.
Rating: 7 out of 10
Pros:
· They sound great in any type of room
· Very powerful in smaller rooms
· Awesome sound quality
Cons:
· Subwoofer bass control is on the back
· The plug connecting the speakers and the subwoofer easily comes loose, and if moved a certain way will make a horrible, deafening sound.
