Tell me, what do toys, overeating, and sitting around with family watching the kids tear into wrapping paper like it is going out of style, have to do with Christmas? The one holiday when gluttony, commercialism and all the other stuff that gives me warm fuzzies is accepted without question.

Yes folks, Christmas is almost upon us and I for one hope that everyone gets what they want this year. As for myself, I am pretty content this year. I can honestly say that there is nothing that I can think of that I am missing in my life. Materialistically, I have all that I need. Personally and professionally, my projects are keeping me busy as well.

So what in the world do I plan on doing Christmas morning? Why, sleeping in and doing diddly the rest of the day. Oh sure, I could go there or do that. Heck, I will likely swing by the parents house for some dinner. But this year we have all decided to just take it easy. There is simply no point in half killing ourselves trying to keep up with it all.

Not to fret though, all of the good little boys and girls in my family are going to be getting gifts this year. Why, I might even include a few folks outside the family this year as well. The point is, there is so much to Christmas than just getting fat and the oh so famous; “What did ya get me?” Family, friends and remembering those that are unfortunately half way across the globe that will not be able to be with their families this year.

If you want to truly do something thoughtful this year, buy a care package for one of our troops overseas. Doing so does not condone nor condemn what they have been asked to do. It merely reminds them that they are missed and we all hope for a safe speedy return home. Also, we will be here for the rest of the week through Friday. So don’t disappear on us thinking we are gone for the holidays. Chris, many others and myself will be here, working our little fingers to the bone to bring you the latest in tech related goodies. Well, I have ton to do, folks. So on that note, will see you bright and early on Thursday!
