More Free E-learning From Microsoft

I recently wrote an article about Microsoft E-learning and how some of the programs were being offered for free. Well here are two more e-learning clinics that you can access free of charge:

  • Clinic 2851: Deploying and Administering Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2

  • Clinic 2853: Developing and Maintaining Applications on Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2

More and more people are switching to Windows XP, both in the workplace and at home, this is a great opportunity to learn more about the operating system. The first course looks at implementing Windows XP Service Pack 2 in a medium to large scale environment. It is a great opportunity to learn more about the features introduced in XP’s service pack 2. It will also show you how to deploy SP2 including preparing to deploy and managing SP2 after your deployment is complete. The second course is increasing your knowledge about the specific security enhancements included with SP2 and how they will impact on applications. This course is more aimed at the application developers.

I managed to work my way through clinic 2851 and was quite impressed by it. Of course one of the great things about the e-learning courses is that you can work through them at your own pace from the comfort of your own home or office. So remember folks, knowledge is power. Why not take a clinic on Windows XP for free. What’s the worst that can happen? You might read something you already know?

You can visit the Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 E-learning Web site to find out more.
