Feeling The Thunder Of Alternative Browsers

We have all seen the success of Mozilla. It has overtaken expectations and blown past 80% of the market in the browser world. But one thing that I think we need to remember is that it’s not the only viable Internet Explorer alternative out there. Folks, if you’re happy with the browser that you are using now, then more power to you. If you are considering an alternative to the norm, then keep in mind that there are other alternatives to Firefox that offer a great opportunity to expand yourself beyond what I prefer and others say you should use.
Other than Mozilla’s Firefox, I would have to say that Opera is the best out there. Heck, some would argue that Opera is even better than Firefox in certain areas. I’ll be honest folks, I have no problem with that statement. For one thing, the Opera browser is seriously fast. Pages load with amazing speed and Opera has many of the same features as the Mozilla suite. E-mail, chat, tabbed browsing, pop-up blocking, and even an RSS reader. All of these great features can be found in Opera.
Another area to keep in mind is that the Opera browser also has options that even Mozilla’s Firefox does not offer (by default, anyway). The most notable feature would have to be Opera Show. Designed as a Power Point-’like’ presentation tool, this gives Opera users the ability to perform slide shows right there from their browsers.
Now one thing to keep in mind here, folks, Opera is not free - completely, anyway. If you do not want to pay for use of this Web browser, then you have the option of using it and supporting it with ads appearing in the browser, itself. If you are anything like me though, you’ll more than likely opt for the paid version so that you can maintain a nice, ad-free look.
So if you’re ready to move on from your current browser and Firefox is just not doing it for you, remember that Opera is a seriously viable alternative. On that note, I think it is fair to mention that while I an avid Firefox user, I have been known to use Opera in the past and I’ve been quite impressed with it. Just thought you should know.
Let’s get digital!
