As some of you may already know, if you read the previous article I wrote about the topic and keep up to speed on the Microsoft certification news, Microsoft and Vue were offering free exam retakes for anyone who failed to pass a Microsoft certification exam.
If this is all news to you, here is how the promotion worked - if you failed a Microsoft exam on your first attempt, you could retake the exam free of charge. It was referred to as the “Second Shot” promotion. The two catches were that the promotion was only available to U.S. citizens (because the rest of us never fail and don’t require a second shot) and the promotion was to end June 30th.
Here is some great news for all the exam takers out there: according to Vue, the promotion has now been extended. You have until September 30th to take the initial exam and until October 31st to complete your “second shot,” in the event that you do indeed fail. You can visit the Vue Web site to find out more about the promotion and view a list of applicable certification exams. Unfortunately though, if you’re outside of the U.S., plan to pass the first time or spend the money to get your second shot.
