Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Networking

Remember the days when people had only one TV in their homes? Okay, neither do I. But I do remember when people only had one computer. In fact, while I know people without computers, I don’t know too many with just one. As a result, home networks are getting increasingly common.

There are three sites that I have used over the years as my favorite networking resources: Practically Networked, World of Windows Networking, and HomeNetHelp. These sites house an insane amount of knowledge about networking and can walk you through the setup of your network no matter what operating system(s) you are using. They can even help you to see the big picture if you aren’t sure how to start.

Thanks to media centers and gaming consoles that are blurring the line between computers and everything else, it’s not going to be long before we all have networks in our homes. Even if you don’t have the money or space for a full network, there are ways you can learn about networking without getting too expensive. So why not get started learning before it becomes a necessity? The Joneses already have a head start.

What Do You Think?
