Folks in Michigan, and Detroit in particular, are in for a treat on July 4, 2007.

There is a great list of metro area Detroit fireworks displays between now and July 4 on this site.

Tonight there is the spectacular Target Fireworks display in the Detroit area, with a rain date of tomorrow, June 28.

I get to see fireworks displays over water where I live on the east coast, and the effect is brilliant and exciting to say the least. Many Detroit fireworks are on or near the Detroit River, which is a great location to have such a gorgeous display of color explosions. I’m nowhere near Detroit, but I’ve read that the city skies are lit up all night with brilliant fireworks displays.
