Poking Fun At PCs and The New 15″ Macbook

Apple started its keynote conferences as it does always, poking fun at the PCs with their Mac and PC series of television advertisements. This year, the usual PC dressed in his smart suit stood infront of the audience and literally begged for ideas for the personal computer, even offering cash!

As the light dimmed, onto the stage emerged Phil Schiller, the senior vice president of Apple. He told us all that this keynote would be foccusing on the Mac, OSX and the iPhone. In the first five years of its existence, OSX attracted twenty five million users. This number is more like 75 million today. And because users of OSX are more likely to choose a laptop over a desktop computer, they have reviewed their Macbook range, and now presenting an updated 15″ Macbook.

This Macbook, obviously, features the 15″ screen, which has 60% more colour than previous models and is brand new. The laptop will also feature battery life which lasts seven hours when fully charged. Apple say that although most users will never see their battery life reduce over time, they have made the experince more environmentally friendly because those that do will not see this within the first five years.

The Macbook will feature a useful SD card slot, which is great for those picture lovers or data geeks that have a huge demand for this in their computers. Not only this, but FireWire 800 will also be blended into the mix, making it much” easier for Mac OSX power users. And if you’re finding all of the previous features fantastic, you’ll be amazed to know that this is the fastest laptop that Apple have ever created. You can choose for your model to featured up to 8GB of RAM, as well as a 500GB 7200RPM Hard Drive or a 656GB Solid State Drive. Apple are giving users a hell of a lot of choice.

What has really shocked everybody is the great price that Apple are going to allow this to be sold for. For all of these great features, the cheapest model will be sold at just $1,699. However, for the high range models, you can pay up to $2,229. An absoloutely beautiful laptop, fantastic quality components, an amazing screen, fantastically powerful and all for a great price.
