Controllable Christmas Lights Back Online!

You may remember how Chris had a video with Alek, a man whose son has Celiac Disease. In support of charities related to the disease every year, Alek puts up over 20,000 Christmas lights outside his house, and through an Internet control client named X10, viewers from all over the world can control the lights and view the changes on the four webcams set up. Alek also puts up controllable decorations for Halloween.

This is just a quick note that if you want another play around, the controls go live again in about three hours, at 4.00 pm EST, just as it starts to get dark. More information, and the controls, can be found here.

That’s not X10 like the X10 product you see in ad’s forever, is it? I would prefer to use a more professional thing to do lights, but then again, that’s just what I’m used to having done theatrical lighting for years.
