Stone Computers MiniTower Review

I have recieved my sixth computer. This computer is from Stone Computers, is a mini tower, and is located downstairs in my house so that I can have a desktop downstairs for work and blogging as well as my laptops. It runs Windows XP, but is capable of Windows Vista. It has Intel Pentium D Inside, 1GB RAM, 150GB hard drive, 17″ monitor from GNR (which is quite small for me :() and has worked no problems so far.
The computer has a lovely six USB ports but not enough for me, so I have installed a spare USB hub I have lying around. I’m using my WiFi connection for the internet with a D-Link Air-Plus Xtreme G Wireless Adapter. I have not really “tested its limit” yet as I have only used it basically for YouTube and Live Video viewing, as well as general browsing, e-mail, blogging and word processing.
You may have read in my previous posts I have had problems with my previous minitower with it cutting out due to excess heat (I believe).
It has the microphone and headphone jack on the front and back, with no speakers. However, there is internal speakers in the GNR monitor. It has a DVD Multi Recorder (Super Writemaster) and a floppy disc drive (not that I’ve used them in the last decade or so).
As I’ve said it runs MS Home SP2 and produces hardly (if not any) audioable noise. Fantastic machine. No problems. ![]()

Not exactly the fastest machine in the world but for running xp it is fabulous. As for it being vista capable…um, I don’t know. Your cpu is alright for vista but your ram is at the bare minimum. When it comes to running vista ram and video card is what is targeted.
As long as you keep xp on your machine I will bet you would be suprised at just what you could probably squeeze out of your pc.
