Yahoo! rejects Microsoft bid

Yahoo! has rejected Microsoft’s bid for the company at $45 billion. Yahoo! say they feel that the price is too low. This judgement has been expected after the decision was leaked over the weekend. However, Yahoo! has now officially announced it.

It is believed that anylists say that Microsoft should add another $2.5bn to $6bn to get Yahoo! to sell. Yahoo! shares have not sold for above $40 in over 2 years.

Of course, Microsoft is supposedly buying Microsoft to be as strong as Google, or to at least keep up with Google, which has obviously already bought YouTube.

Microsoft’s shares have fell by 12% since the offer, so maybe this is a warning sign. To be perfectly honest, I don’t think you will get any more companies offering any higher than what Microsoft already has.

Do you think Yahoo! has made the right decision? If you owned Yahoo! would you sell that company that is valuable for you, as a businessperson for that price? Any other thoughts about Yahoo!, YouTube, Google and Microsoft? Let us know by posting a comment.

What Do You Think?
