Top 10 Tech Gifts

Here I will list my favourite (or favorite for American readers :D) top 10 tech gifts for birthdays, christmas or just any time you feel like spreading the world of technology to those around you.

1) Digital Picture Frame - This way the reciever can enjoy a slideshow of their favourite pictures. This is useful if the reciever has alot of space being used up by many picture frames and they seem to always be complaining about them. Give them one of these and there is the problem solved. The only problem with this is that it normally will have to sit on a desk unless the black wire along the wall can be hid.

2) External Hard Drive / Pen Drive - This way the reciever can enjoy having more space on their computer and potentially making it faster by storing all information and files on an external disk or on a pen drive for portability. If you are wanting portability for the reciever maybe get them a large capacity pen drive so they can carry it around with them, but if you want huge storage, unfortunately there is no other choice but an external drive.

3) 1 Years Internet - What can sometimes been an expensive thing but if the reciever has got dial up or wants the internet, you can pay for them to have broadband in their home for a year, before they can cancel it, or they start to pay it for themselves. Will normally put a smile on people’s faces. No longer blocking up the phone line and no waiting 4 hours for one YouTube video or Photobucket.

4) Keyboard and Mouse Set - You can now get personalised mice with pictures inside of them or you could get the reciever a keyboard and mouse set. You can get them a one which appeals to them ie. I have volume control and editing buttons on my keyboard as well as Office shortcuts etc.

5) Printer/Scanner - They are getting cheaper and you can even get them all in one nowerdays so treat the reciever to a new or their first printer/scanner/copier etc. Maybe they have some photos they are desperate to get printed or they need to scan some important doccuments for themselves ie. birth certificates, marriage certificates. This solves them sort of problems and will make the reciever happy.

6) Wireless Router - If your reciever has internet, and a laptop, and wants to use their broadband round the house why not get them a wireless router to install so they can have that portability around the home or even in the garden.

7) Gift Vouchers - Music gift vouchers or vouchers for game shops or computer hardware shops (PC World) etc. so that the person can get what they want depending how generous you are feeling. Stops unwanted gifts and enables the reciever to get something they can use or they need.

8) Computer Chair - I love my computer chair. Leather. Executive. Comfortable. I view it important that you are comfortable when you are working. So why not buy a computer chair for the reciever if they only have a little stool, dinning table chair or old, ripped, raggy seat.

9) Graphic Tablet - A good choice for web designers, Photoshopers etc. Allow them to draw or write on a computer without the hastle of a mouse and enable them to write like on a piece of paper.

10) Software - A piece of good software like Photoshop or something they will use is always important to the reciever as they know you have noticed what they like and have had a personal thought about what to buy them. Also useful to everyday life and work.

Have you got some top tech gifts. If so, leave a comment to this post or your opinions.
