Audacity Alternative

  • No Related Post

Recently, in my latest issue of a popular computer magazine, I read about a wonderful program to replace Audacity, called Wavosaur. It does exactly what Audacity does, it records through a microphone, it edits audio and it also allows you to export it. The magazine also states it can be used to divide recordings into different tracks.

At just 182KB, it is amazingly smaller than Audacity, which is just over 2MB. I thought that you wouldn’t be able to make a smaller file for a audio editing program, I guess I was wrong. I like the easy controls and the professional look and feel of the program. It is tottaly opensource.

Different skins and themes can be used, and there official website also has a forum. Check it out here.

Let me know what you think if you download it? Do you currently use it and is it, in your point of view, better than Audacity? Any other general audio editing and recording comments. If so, please leave a message to this post.

I still think Audacity is still better but i tried it and i like the simplicity of it.

Just downloaded it and it seems to be a rather full featured program. The guide is well written. So far I like what I see.
