If you have read my blog before or you have read the reviews that I have wrote before about technology, hardware or software whether I purchase it myself or I am gave it to test it out, you will know that earlier this year I purchased an aluminium keyboard from a very succesful buyer on eBay. It was fantastic, and I enjoyed it alot.
Yesterday I went out to buy myself a display book from a nationwide office supplier called Staples. It took me about half an hour to find the display book but then decided that I wanted to purcahse a wireless keyboard a mouse set. There were such brands as Belkin, Microsoft, Logitech and Labtec.
I had already had a Labtec keyboard and I did not trust it and after I had the headaches with the Belkin wireless router I purchased I didn’t trust them either. The Microsot keyboard was more for picture editing than it was for anything else, so I went for the Logitech Cordless Desktop S510. Here are my thoughts of it.
I like cordless things and I decided I wanted something wireless anyway so this was perfect. The keyboard has many good controls and built in features or supplied addons. They even gave me the batteries. A thing that I really do like about it is the fact that the keyboard has a built in writst rest so I can just slooch (if that is a word) my wrists over it and type and it will be comfartable. It has the QWERTY layout.
It has it’s number pad and, as most times a need for me, four programmable keys which gives me easy access to my applications. A CD-Rom was supplied. It also has a function button. F! allows me to sdee how much battery is left in the device, F2 allows me to open Word, F4 for Excel, F4 for Powerpoint. You can also save, go back, go forward and print with a touch of a button.
On the left is the features to put your machine on stand by (which I never do), return home, the battery indicator, the chance to rotate photos, and zoom in and out on them, or a webpage. On the left is the chance to pause, play, stop, fastforward, rewind, shuffle and turn up the volume plus mute. It can also bring up my playlists.
The mouse is a lovely shape but not as nice as the Microsoft mice. Still usable. It has 4 way scrolling and also it has a battey life indicator.
All in all a good product. Very satisfied. Reccomended for office use!
