Introducing iDress Assistive Technology For The iPhone
Knowing what to wear depending on what the current weather will bring. It’s something that I believe most of us take for granted. Not because we’re born with some unique gift, rather the fact that most people possess the ability to check the current weather conditions and then decide what to wear for the day at that point.
Now there is a problem with this as not everyone possesses the ability to make these decisions off the cuff so easily. Age, disability, other cognitive barriers have left some individuals without the resources to determine what is appropriate for any given day, weather depending. For others who do possess the ability to determine what are appropriate clothes for any given day, travel can often throw a wrench into any success had here.
This is where a new iPhone app called iDress comes into play. Powered by the current and accurate weather data from WeatherBug, iDress provides a fantastic visual application for people in need of assistance trying to decide what kind of outfit is best suited for the weather of the day.
The iDress application even takes things one step further for people such as myself who simply want to make the best choices possible as to whether a coat is needed or if I can get away with shorts instead of jeans, too. Thanks to the customizable temperature settings in the app itself, you can predetermine what you consider to be cold or hot. This feature alone, promises much more accuracy as one person might think of 65 degrees as cool while another person sees this as shorts weather.
Available for the iPhone or the iPad, you will find iDress from the Apple app store. Powered by WeatherBug’s weather data, you will find that you’ll always be in the know with live, local weather data powering this app when you need it most.
