Mobile Weather Alerts

mobile-alertIn the past, we have talked at length about the various mobile weather offerings provided by WeatherBug. But I also realize that many of you do not own the latest iPhone, BlackBerry, Android or Windows Mobile phones. Does this mean you are left out in the cold with regard to being able to stay up on the latest weather when on the go? Not at all!

Here are two options you can use right now from any mobile phone currently on the market.

Mobile Web Weather - No matter how low tech the phone, chances are pretty solid that your phone will support the ability to get your local forecast from the Mobile Web Weather feature from WeatherBug. From seven day to hourly forecasting, this simple weather page will provide the mobile user with everything they need to plan their day and stay ahead of the weather.

Mobile Weather Alerts - Obviously getting a handle the forecast is one thing, but what about staying in tune with the latest weather alerts? Clearly, receiving these alerts on your mobile phone is the way to go. Well thanks to Mobile Weather Alerts, anyone that has a SMS enabled phone can be alerted should severe weather bring up its wrath without warning. You will be in the know.

iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile - As mentioned previously, we do indeed offer some fantastic weather applications for the aforementioned platforms. To see what the match is for your own phone, just head on over to this link for more information.

I have an iPhone, but I still use the SMS alerts, they are great! They will often beat my NOAA Weather Radio.

Absolutely no disrespect intended but when was the last time you got a correct weather forecast? :)

My friend rides a scooter to work and in spite of three sources, still can’t get a correct forecast. The three disagree with each other and are wrong to boot. Perhaps it’s an art, not a science.
