Today I was given a reminder of just how easy it is to use the WeatherBug API. A student just starting out in the programming world recently took the WeatherBug API, tossed in some basic Python and came up with a very good initial effort!

As you can see from this link, the student’s project turned out pretty well, using API data from Flickr and WeatherBug. The single page project gives the visitor the current weather conditions, temp and following day’s forecast as well.

Where’s the code?

For those interested in how the site was put together, what python code was being used with the site linked above, you can download the source code to the school project from this link.

We want python!

Are you a Python programmer? Think you have something unique to contribute that would work well with the WeatherBug API? Then by all means, sign up today! The only thing holding you back is you, after all.
