The Backyard Blog For Weather Fans

I remember when WeatherBug first launched the Backyard Blog for weather enthusiasts. The idea was a simple one - provide a friendly place to share weather conditions with other weather enthusiasts. This might not sound too exciting at first pass, but consider what happens when users are in the midst of severe weather and others across the country are interested in non-newsy perspectives as to what that is actually like? Needless to say the Backyard Blog has proven to be a tremendous success over the years.

And on that note, it turns out that one member of the WeatherBug community is just hitting on their 996th blog post as a backyard weather reporter! By now, Kevin Shaw has likely surpassed this number as he has worked very hard to make sure that all who visit the Backyard Blog are familiar with the weather in his living location.

I for one am proud of the amount of work Kevin has contributed to the Backyard Blog effort and believe that others could learn from his dedication in posting over 900 daily blog posts to report the weather in his hometown. Kevin, WeatherBug is lucky to have such a dedicated Backyard Weather Reporter. Your efforts are definitely recognized and appreciated.
