Internet Weather Display

Today I wanted to highlight one of the WeatherBug API contest entries that was submitted recently. It is called the Internet Weather Display and it was also submitted into a contest for a contest that featured an Ethernet interface chip that includes a TCP/IP stack built in. Basically, it is intended for embedded systems.

The target for this project is fairly straight forward. It is designed for people who want their local he current conditions, forecast and weather alerts displayed on an LCD screen, but live in a place where having a weather station of their own would not otherwise be possible. Apartments, condos, etc. The local weather data is gathered via WeatherBug’s API.
